Once again, a 2011 Oscar nominated movie (very)
pleasantly surprises me. And that makes it quite a few already, The Social
Network, Inception, Toy Story 3, The Fighter, 127 Hours, and, although far away
from the rest, True Grit.
A heartbreaking power, added to a sublime soundtrack, the best words to describe it.
Me, I’d call it the perfect romantic comedy.
Yes, many would say its happy endings are “too perfect”,
sure curny… I agree. But that’s the goal of the movie, precisely that, to offer
happy stories with happy endings.
Internal uneasiness.
A sense of oppression, restlessness… I will use a
detail to explain. Usually, when I’m watching a movie, sitting in front of my
PC, I receive some phone messages, I read them, sometimes I check the movie’s
remaining time, what time is it… but in this case, I just forgot about the
outside world. I was on tenterhooks, attentive, missing nothing.
Translating is one of my hobbies.
Disfrutando del Séptimo Arte is a great blog. One of the greatest blogs about movies, I'd dare to say.
So I'll try to translate all its reviews so that more people throughout the world can enjoy them. Pure altruism.
Yes, I'm that humble.
PD. In advance, I'd like to apologize for all the future, both grammar and vocabulary and... mistakes that I'll make. See? I'm not that cocky!
