Me, I’d call it the perfect romantic comedy.
Yes, many would say its happy endings are “too perfect”,
sure curny… I agree. But that’s the goal of the movie, precisely that, to offer
happy stories with happy endings.
The humorous touch that runs through the movie is, in my opinion, brilliant. All 8 stories manage to get a smile out of me, and sometimes I even burst out laughing.

In any case, the best summary of the movie might be: Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Keira
Knightley, Alan Rickman, Colin Firth, Bill Knighty, Andrew Lincoln, Laura
Linney, Billy Bob Thornton, Rowan Atkinson, Elisha Cuthbert, Claudia Schiffer,
Denise Richards... an array of the best British actors (well, many of them are,
British) directed by New Zealander Richard Curtis (Bridget Jones’s Diary,
Notting Hill).
Spend some fun time, to laugh (Rowan Atkinson’s scene,
resulting with Alan Rickman’s murderous looks, unforgettable), to enjoy some of
the best actors nowadays, to end up with a smile drawn in your face (Andrew
Lincoln and Keira Knightley’s scene with the signs… love it). Beautiful.
